About AMCC

AMCC was founded in 1994 by Andrew Mick. While attending the building trades classes at Mishawaka High, Andrew realized that he not only truly enjoyed carpentry and the challenges it presented, but that he had an aptitude for it as well. Before long he decided that this was the career path he would choose. After graduating high school Andrew Mick went to work in the HVAC industry for a brief time and made many connections within the construction industry. Andrew also spent several years as an outside sales representative in the lumber industry serving primarily home builders. This position offered a solid understanding of a different yet equally important side of the industry.

Eventually Andrew realized that he missed the hands on aspects of carpentry and the elements that initially drove him to the carpentry trade. After having this realization, Andrew decided to again expand his  horizons and improve upon the early training of his building trades courses by joining the International Brotherhood of Carpenters apprenticeship program. After the successful completion of this 4 year program in just 3 years, Andrew went on spend 7 years as a union carpenter foreman running many commercial projects of virtually all types and price ranges.

While Andrew enjoyed his time in the carpenter’s union, he wanted to have a bigger impact on the finished projects and be more involved with the customer on a personal level. The creation of AMCC allowed him the opportunity to combine and utilize the skills he had learned throughout his career to offer the best possible service and quality of work to his new customer base. Today, AMCC has completed hundreds of commercial, residential, retail and agricultural projects as well as demolition and building maintenance. AMCC has built their reputation on flexibility, dependablility, and willingness to think outside the box. Our customers have come to know us for our ability to complete custom projects that do not fall within the average contractor’s scope of work. If you’ve got a problem, we’ve got a solution…
